Voice Image Collection Finalist

Voice Photo Competition:

Many of you may have seen my excited Facebook and Insta posts from last week.

A few months ago I entered a photography competition run by Click Magazine called Voice. Most years I try to remember to enter. If for no other reason then to go back over some of my favourite photos I’ve taken during the previous 12 months. It’s a great way to review your own work!

This year there were 40,000 entries from women across the world entered. I was left speechless to find out that 2 of my entries made the finalist selection!

The Click brand, including Clickinmoms, Click Photo School, Click Pro and Click Magazine have been champions of women in photography for years. I’ve done multiple courses online with them over, each one run by awesome teachers and with amazing content, and have made so many new friendships through the community, both the online and in real life variety!

So be have not one, but two photos included in this years collection of 195 finalists was an achievement I was pretty bloody proud of, to say the least. They will be printed in their Nov/Dec issue of Click Magazine.

Both photos were taken during Lockdown 1.0, only 4 days apart. You can see the rest of the images in the collection by following the link under the photos.

Upcoming Workshops:

If you’ve got your own camera and would love to learn how to use it, I am currently running workshops on learning to use your DSLR or mirrorless in full manual mode. I have 3 dates left for this year.

I’ve been getting great feedback from my previous workshops, they are relaxed, fun and intimate - coffee, macaroons and biscuits provided, a handout of all the technical details and a free Bic pen!! What’s not to love!! Workshops are held at The Real Florist, on Swift St, Albury. They go for approximately 3 hours, lots of time to ask questions and get a hang of using your camera in auto mode.

Dates remaining for 2020:

27th September at 10am
4th October at 10am
1st November at 10am

You can book your spot via my website

And for interests sake, here are the other images I also entered:
