Your not-so-business-as-usual commercial photographer

When you think about a commercial photography session you might not think relaxed and casual. And you might not think of me. Given that my bread and butter are the families and newborns of Albury Wodonga. And that’s ok.

But yes, I do commercial shoots. With a difference. There are no flat lays to be seen. No props brought in. No big lighting set ups. Hell, I don’t even style the shots. And if that’s what you’re after, great. But I don’t do that and if that’s not what you’re after then keep reading.

If you’ve never booked in commercial photos because you’ve been worried about cost, not having a ‘vision’ of what you want captured. Or the whole thing just seems too daunting, that’s ok.

Honestly, I was too scared to offer commercial photography for a long time, because that’s what I thought it had to be. I’ve written about this before, but I can’t fake a shot. I can’t fake you to fake a shot. I’m not a stylist, some days I can barely dress myself... But what I do, and I think I do it fairly well, is I capture real life as it’s happening, and if you reckon that sounds good, then hi, I’m here to help and lets chat!

I don’t work off vision boards or mood boards, and I definitely won’t go rearranging you or your space. I like to capture what is unfolding right in front of my lens, with as little input from me as possible. I might move you towards some better light, but that’s probably about it.

Maybe it’s a little more behind-the-scenes and a little less commercial. I don’t know what you’d call it, but I’m your alternative option. I like to think of myself more as a fly on the wall approach to capturing images for your business.

I'd love to hear what you're after and we can work together to find an arrangement that will work for both of us. I'm happy to discuss your needs and I can tailor a package to suit you and your business moving back into, what is hopefully a more profitable second half of 2020.

I can offer payments plans, or individually purchased photos, so you don't have to buy the whole gallery, or if you're after something else, I'm happy to chat.

If you’re not sure what it looks like, here are some examples of some shots I’ve done over the last few years for some local businesses.

Jade is in the process of working on a book, due to be released in the second half of 2021, and needed a stack of images over the seasons to capture life living in harmony with the land.
