Newborn in-home photography on a cold winters day - Albury Wodonga family and baby photographer

There are so many things I love about in-home sessions - they’re relaxed, they're slower paced, they’re cosy and warm and intimate.

I suggest that all newborn sessions are done in-home and they have one distinct advantage over an outdoor session… it doesn’t matter what the weather is doing outside. Both of my girls were winter babes, and I know the last thing you feel like doing when you’ve got a teeny, tiny bub, and that is trying to leave the house on a miserable day. And I can only imagine the opposite is true for a 40 degree summer evening!

Some people opt for an outdoor newborn session, but these can really only be timed for certain times of the year, and especially here in the Albury Wodonga region, where our winters can be particularly cold and frosty and our summers stupidly hot, we have a few short months were I'm happy to photograph bubs outside. But in-home?? Any time of the year is the right time of year. You would have no idea looking at these photos, that it was a bitterly cold July morning!
